Innovative Brotherly Love: New Moon in Aquarius, Conjunct Uranus This New Moon is honestly a little weird…mainly because it is honest, interested in humanity and the innovations of “brotherly love.” Perhaps this sounds suspect to you. Innovations of Brotherly Love could be a new band or a sex party, rather than something the world will experience on a physical, intellectual and spiritual level. There is a stellium, or large lineup of planets in Aquarius right now, and the ruler of Aquarius is conjunct the Sun and Moon. This translates to allowing our emotional and ego experience to step back and take a larger, far-seeing and philanthropic view. Further, Neptune is in Aquarius, though not touching the Sun or Moon. Neptune is trine Saturn, a long aspect, which helps us structure our ideals and confront the integrity of our life construct. Huh? It works thusly: Saturn normally does not like to question itself or look at other options. Very set in its ways, Saturn. In our charts it often holds our life patterns. Saturn has been rattling around in Gemini and getting frisky. Considering reframing the way it does things. Now along comes expansive Neptune in wacky Aquarian clothing to say, “hey, ya know anything is possible and some people have fun while living their lives.” Fun is a little bit of a new concept for Saturn, but Gemini has had its influence and he is ready to consider that there are many ways of doing things, some of them fun while being, um, harrumph, responsible. And the ruler of Gemini, Mercury, is (hurrah) again direct. In fact, Saturn and Mercury went direct at about the same time, indicating that for a while; their energies will compliment each other. How do we experience all of this interplay? The structure of our lives becomes more flexible and we have room to shift. We can really check in to see if the life we are living is honestly serving humanity and us. Serving humanity seems like a large concept. Actually, it is accomplished in tiny daily increments of light. Smiling. Listening. Speaking up for yourself, others, the environment. How this differs from past views of hippy lifestyle, resides in the age. Not the Aquarian age, but the information age. With so many different modes of communication available to us and so many more individuals ready to commit themselves to serving love, we have a delicious recipe for Innovations of Brotherly Love (and here you thought it was a band or a sex party). People will find themselves communicating in radical, freedom-inducing ways. Like saying I love you to relative strangers. Or stranger yet, relatives. Persons working in the media will begin to use their influence to spread these strange ideas. The concept of love and balance becomes more about community and less about the individual. Truth without judgment, an important, yet oft missing ingredient in the information age, is an integral part of love. Those who have put themselves in service realize this and begin to make it part of their world by communicating it to others…and by calling for greater responsibility to truth in the community. Venus entering Pisces, land of love, mystery and expanded awareness, enhances the stellar action. For some folks this will translate to the desire to pick up hot mermaids. For most of us, it is a call to serve love. We desire to be of service to spirit in the moment. Here we have a challenge because both Aquarius and Pisces can be spacey. To honestly be of service to Spirit in the moment, one has to be fully present in the moment. This month, then, is a really good time to ground, to expand one’s capacity to experience the Divine, especially the Indwelling Divine. We can do this via meditation, via intentional acts of kindness and responsibility towards acting in a loving manner (allowing our actions to follow our ideals). Good. Now you can say you’ve experienced Innovative Brotherly Love. People will be impressed. They will think you have been to see a new band or better yet, are just recovering from a sex party.
